XBE Commitment Statement

The Capital Improvement Board (CIB) is dedicated to encouraging and fostering relationships with the diverse communities we serve. Toward that end, having a diverse workforce at every level of job type and ensuring that all businesses have opportunities to participate in our procurement process are high priorities.  Below are our initiatives that illustrate our commitment to these priorities.

XBE Mentorship Program

The CIB offers mentorship programs tailored for XBE construction firms specializing in professional disciplines such as construction management, engineering, and architecture. We are proud of the progress we have made thus far. Please take a look at a few of our success stories here.

XBE Vendor Participation Goal

The CIB has established a goal of increasing its XBE vendor participation and undertakes the following efforts in order to accomplish that goal:

• Offering information sessions in partnership with project contractors, geared toward sharing information and strategies for businesses interested in becoming CIB vendors.
• Participating in the City of Indianapolis’ OMWBD Project Pipeline Presentations
• Publishing RFPs on our website and information regarding public works projects at reprographix.com via the ePlanroom. Opportunities are also shared via The Indianapolis Business Journal and Indy Star under public notices.
